My company's estimating program needs to understand the format of the PeachTree csv import file. I've got a sample csv file from peachtree but I need to know where I can go and find the column format and why each column is there. Can anyone help?

CSV file is a comma delimated file.
If you open it in NotePAD you will see that the first line is the column headings .The second line and the ones that follow are the data. Each column heading or data field is seperated by a comma(,)
If you have MSExcel you can import a CSV file and convert it to a Spread sheet format that will allow you to read the columns and the rows. As i said the column headings are the datafield descriptions and the data follows below it.
