View Full Version : "peachtree complete cannot determine product version"???

After "succesfully" reinstalling complete ver. 10 I receive this message. Any help is greatly apperciated!

The PRINTER.?@@ file is corrupt or missing. NOte: The configuration files may hav been corrupted by the PCADATA variable being set during PTLOAD. From a DOS prompt type SET and make sure that the PCADATA variable is not present. If it is there remove that line from the AUTOEXEC.BAT file and reboot before reloading.

Examples: If PCADATA was set when Peachtre Complete or a Tax update was loaded a system file or all system files may be corrupt.

Solution: Option 1; Restore a backup of the system files through DOS RESTORE or Peachtree PTREST. Option 2; Rebuild the COMP.D@@ file from a COMPBAC then follow Reloading Peachtree While Keeping Company Information.

PCADATA - PCADATA may be looking to a directory that has a corrupt or missing PRINTER.?@@ file. Solution: Correct or remove the PCADATA variable.
