after Peachtree Complete was installed on our "client" workstation, we realized that the path to the "master" system was incorrect. is there a way to change the drive it's looking for without uninstalling and reinstalling the whole product?

thanks,
Jane

Try changing Map Network Drive information in Windows for the drive to point to the correct path. It is always best to reserve an exclusive drive letter to the master / server path.

Instead of remapping a drive to be another logical driver letter, you could edit the Peachtree ini file.

Depending on the version, it may be called PAW70.INI or PCW80.INI and it is located in the C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT directory.

Look for a line the looks something like this (version 8):
Data" is
; located in its own subdirectory off of this DATAPATH. The default value
; is "C:\PEACHW".
DATAPATH=C:\PEACHW80

You can change the drive letter to be wherever your data is stored.

Example:
DATAPATH=F:\PEACHW80

Save the changes.
