Changing accounting period

Okay. We have a shared data base and a problem. User 1 is in the data base and has changed the accounting period. User 2 needs to work in the same data base but needs to be in the current accounting period. Peachtree is not liking this. Any way around it?

If one user wants to be in December and the other in January, keep Peachtree in December, but have the January user simply type in January dates for any of their transactions or reports. Even though the accounting period is December, the software will properly post the transactions in January.
