A/P and A/R on same check.

We invoiced a customer for $5000 in sales. We also did some advertising with them at a cost of $1300. They made payment to us for the difference ($3700).

How do we properly enter this in Peachtree (8.0 Complete) ??

When you enter your receipt, apply the 5000 to your invoices. On the same receipt apply the 1300 to revenues with a negative amount against the advertising expense account. The total receipt amount should equal 3700.
