Hello:
We use several HP laser printers. For sometime we've printed Quotes on one machine, but now wish to change so that Quotes will default to another printer.
Both printers are setup under Windows 2000 Pro. The one we wish to use is the default Windows printer. However, the other machine is what PT uses as its default printer for Quotes.
When we try to change the default in PT 2003 it gives us the "no form found to print" error message.
How do we change PT 2003 so that the program will default to the printer of our choice?
BTW, we have no trouble manually selecting another printer. We just want it to be an automatic default.

Have you installed all of the patches for your version? You can use the Check for Updates feature on the Services menu.

Thanks for your quick reply.
We are using Peachtree Accounting 2003 (SR-1); Build 10.0.01.036
We patched the application about a month ago from the PT web site.

OK...that's always the first thing to rule out. I haven't run in to this particular issue yet. If it were me, the next thing I'd try is updating my printer drivers from the manufacturer's web site. I'd also try working with a couple of the standard forms in Peachtree, to ensure that your form that you're trying to modify isn't corrupted.
Hope this helps!

My drivers are up-to-date. Both HP laser printers work fine. I can manually select either printer to print my Quote report.
The problem is that when I first created my Quote form I specified my older HP Laser printer. Since then, I added another printer to my network. PT 2003 sees that new printer fine, it just isn't the default printer for "this" form.
How do I make it my default printer for "this" form, when I keep getting the above mentioned error message?

Are you using opening the form in question with the Form Designer, clicking the Setup button, and changing your printer there? Once you've done so, click the Save button to assign a unique name to the form. If this doesn't work, then I'm unable to diagnose your problem.

No, I wasn't clicking the "Setup" button from the "Form Designer". Instead, I had double clicked on my "Quote" form in the "Report List", then on the "Format" tab, and then attempted to change the printer there.
I have now opened the form in the Form Designer, hit the "Setup" button and successfully changed the default printer for that form in the dialog box.
Works like a charm!
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the feedback. As you saw, it took a couple back-and-forth messages before I realized that you were looking in the wrong area of Peachtree for the setting to change. Anyway, I'm glad I was able to resolve this for you.
