Printing General Journal

Dear friends

Our standard practice is to print a individual journal for each journal entry that we put in. However, I can't find any printing function in journal entry screen.

Any way to print a journal entry such as credit memo in Peachtree. The report in General ledger report for journal are not suitable for us. We need to include Company name, prepared by, checked by and approved by in our general journal print out.

Please help and assist.

Any time you need specialized functionality in Peachtree, you must look outside the program. Excel or PawCOM (http://www.acctadv.com/pawcom) are two avenues to pursue. Generate the transaction outside of Peachtree then post the transaction in Peachtree either by importing or through PawCOM.

Printing a General Journal Entry still seems an ordeal. The answers provided previous to this inquiry, still requires you to export the entire general ledger and then sorting.

What a pain. My clients have switched to Quickbooks.

I see why. I too am migrating.

Just make sure to give it a unique reference number. Then go to Reports, General Ledger, general Journal and filter for just that transaction. You could also just print a daily, weekly or monthly one that shows the GJE.

Is there a reason you want a hard copy of each entry?
