My system locks up when trying to add a cost code if I already have 64 Cost Codes entered. I transferred the data to a system using Windows ME and problem no longer appeared. But is there a quick fix so I can stay with version 7 on Windows 98?

This is very strange. I can't think of any reason why there would be a limit of 64. The cost codes are stored in a separate file and you should be able to add as many records as you want. It is also strange that this should not work on one machine but work on another. I don't think this is a problem with Peachtree but is being caused by something else on your system.

You might try reinstalling Peachtree in case some component has been corrupted.

I know this sounds strange, but I even set up a new company and started adding cost codes. When I got to the 65th cost code, the system locked up. I duplicated this on another Windows 98 system at another client using Peachtree 7. Maybe Nostodomeaus has some advice. Any way you can attempt this at your location?
