Setting up a new Company

When attemping to set up a "New Company," I am receiving a Run-time erroe'13' (Type mismatch) when selecting an Accounting Period. Anyadvice ??

There are four things you can try:

1. Make sure the Samples.DLL file has loaded into the Peachw directory

2. Make sure you have the country set up as USA. Then go and check the international settings and make sure the set up for the date format is MM/DD/YY. Also, add the option to 'include leading zeros', to the date format. This will allow dates keyed in with zeros to work properly. (Note: This is done in the Control Panel; Start, Settings, Control Panel, Regional Settings.)

3. Make sure the business type has been selected before copying a sample company.

4. If you still get the error message "Type Mismatch", turn off the new company setup and set up your new company using the procedure in older versions of Peachtree; File, New Company.
To turn off New Company Setup:
Exit Peachtree
Go to Start, Run
Type: paw60.ini (if your version is 7, enter paw70.ini)
Click OK

In the [Options] section, make sure the new company setup is set to Yes to disable
DisableNewCompanySetup=Yes
Then, Select File, Save
Close the paw60.ini window, open Peachtree and start a new company.
