My computer crashed. I was running PT Complete 8.0. I located a backup about 4 months old on another computer. Can I reinstall PT and recover the company?

Yes...reinstall Peachtree, then create a new Peachtree company. You can then restore your back-up over this new shell company. From there, everything will be as before, except for having to catch up your missing data.

I created the company but when I went to restore my company I got a "You must get an updated version of this program to use that company" error.

Install the 8.0.02 patch, which is available here (http://www.acctadv.com/go.mv?id=update).

After downloading the file (pcw802) and trying to open it, I get a "Corrupt cabinet file!" error. Also, Ive had alot of trouble connectint to peachtree.com.

Your download was not successful. You'll have to try downloading the patch again.
