Have just change printers from a HP970 to a HP5550 DeskJet. Never had a problem with the HP970 when printing in Peachtree Acctg Complete Ver. 7.0 until now.

When I change the printer, any form (Invoice, Sales Order, Purchase, etc) I try to print brings up a Microsoft Windows Warning Message, "There was no room to store those printer setup parameters in the form file". If I ignore the message and continue to print, the form I select will print over and over again.
Reports from Peachtree print correctly and so do any of the other programs that are on my Windows 2000 PC.

If I change the default printer back to the HP970, the warning message does not appear. Does anyone know of a solution to the problem I described? Other than going back to the HP970, does anyone know if upgrading Peachtree to a newer version would solve the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this EXACT same problem, only with a HP 950C. I'd sure like to know how to fix this myself....

I've seen this many times. It comes from having an older version such as V7, of Peachtree and a newer printer or operating system. The only solutions are to upgrade to a newer version of Peachtree, or change back to an older model of printer.

To correct the problem, I did exactly what Diane said, went back to my old printer, HP970 and gave my son the new HP5550 printer (he lucked out).

Jeff, your printer issue is strange because the printer I had before the HP970, was the HP950 and both printers work with V7. The HP5550 was the printer that would not work.

Thank you both for your responses and good luck.

Thanks for your feedback. Our solution now will be more drastic. We are going to Great Plains. The printer issue was the last straw.

Jeff,

Before you make your move to Great Plains, I might have another alternative. If you would like, you can contact me directly at richards@cdp-systems.com.

Okay, I was having the same problem you guys have experienced. I can't afford new software and I've already purchased the printer. I have solved the problem temporarily by changing the printer driver to an HP Deskjet 500C. Still prints high resolution too. Anyway, I thought you guys might need this.
