'm getting a "File System Error 7 in JrnlHdr.dat" error message after trying to perform integrity check -INVENTORY/JOURNL sync test.

Unposts the G/L then only reposts the P/R. I can manually repost all the other Journals.
All of my backups back to 6 months ago probably have the same problem. I have checked a few of them (it takes about an hour to check one).

I'd like to hear from someone who has used any relational database accounting software. Is it more immune to these catostrophic failures as Peachtree??

I would like to know the best way to assure yourself that a backup does not contain errors. Is there an easy way? Integrity checks don't seem to catch all probs. I have a year of daily backups that will not let me close the previous year. Is there a problem with V8.00? When I converted from ver 7.03 to Ver 8.0, everything went flawlessly as far as the conversion. Now the backup file made at that time will not even allow the previous FYE closing. All integrity checks seem to run??? Help!!

I found out from Peachtree that a System 7 error is a known problem with ver. 8.00 running Inventory/jrnl sync and will not happen with the 8.02 patch installed. That instant answer cost me $65 and should have been on their knowledge-base website. So much my 48 hours of work I spent chasing that problem and looking for a valid backup.
