Changing a sales quote

We need to pull up an existing sales quote, add/delete items and then save it with a new number and w/o destroying the original quote. The customer will have the option to choose one or the other.

Also may need to duplicate an existing quote for another customer or make minor changes and turn it into a new quote. Can this be done w/o re-entering the entire quote?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't use this much at all if any but maybe you should check out the function MEMORIZE TRANSACTION. Then once you get a reply to this thread you will have more to go on.
