View Full Version : How many flavors?
Does Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003 come in two (or more) flavors -- multi-user and single user?
If so, can you tell which is which by looking at the box?

The multi-user version has a sticker on the box indicating such.
Thanks for the information, David.
I am, however, struggling to understand a page on Peachtree's web site detailing Complete Accounting 2003 features.
On the one hand it notes a "Multi-User" feature while on the other hand -- foot-noted -- it states you must buy additional licenses for simultaneous access.
Is there a difference between "multi-user" and "simultaneous access?"

No. If you buy a multi-use license, you can have simultaneous users (Peachtree recommends no more than 5). If you buy a single license at first, you can later either buy additional licenses to gain multi-use capability based on the number of licenses, or upgrade to a multi-user license.
Thanks, David, for your multiple answers. Quite helpful. May I ask another question without going the legal limit? Is the "Value Pack" option something that came along with Complete 2004, then?

Seems like the Value Pack was introduced with version 8. I don't remember exactly, but in the past you could buy one copy and have multiple users. Somewhere along version 7 or 8 the multi-user licensing kicked in.
Thank you for your time and the info...

Tim
