View Full Version : v2004: Design View only - no Preview

Recently upgraded to v2004 on a stand alone machine. I was editing the Design of a customized report, then clicked Preview and NOTHING. PT allowed me to Save while in the Design view but cannot get it to Preview. I closed PT and tried again to Preview - NOTHING. I rebooted, opened PT and tried again - NOTHING. Just the Design View appears!! Restored a PT backup and still Design View only.
Any thoughts?? Thanks!

Does this happen with standard forms as well as a customized form? If no, then I would say your form is corrupted and you'll need to rebuild it. If yes, I would reinstall Peachtree.

this happened with just the one customized report - thus far! so rebuilding the report is your recommendation?

Occasionally, a form gets corrupted during the upgrade process. There are a number of reasons this can happen, but it could be because a field name being used in the old form is changed in the newer version. The best thing to do is recreate the form.

Thanks Diane!! Since the issue with the financial stmt, my client went into pmts and her vendors are all gone!! I'm afraid this is just the beginning of many wierd happenings.
Is my best bet to uninstall PT, reinstall and restore?

Yes. It sounds like the upgrade didn't work well. If it still doesn't work, you may have corrupted data.
