converting peachtree complete to accounting

My dad has peachtree complete 7. He doesn't need all the functions of that software. I got him peachtree account 8 and found I couldn't read the peachtree accounting complete 7 files.

How do I convert files from a "complete" version down to a "standard" accounting version?

Can't be done directly. It's like taking a step backwards.

The only option is to do an export and import for the some of the information that is stored in the Maintain screens, but you cannot export the transaction files. Basically, you'd be starting over.
