Can I create a BOM after an item number is created

What we would like to do is have our customer service person enter the item number and have production create the BOM (assembly list)

Is this possible???

Unfortunately, no. Once an item is created you cannot change it to an assembly item, nor can you change the BOM after an assembly item ID has been entered.
