PT Slowing down after long usage

Has anyone seen PT slow down after long periods of usage? It is the only program runnig. Curious if this has been observed.

It is not unusual for programs to tie up more and more memory and disk resources as they are used continuously. It also sometimes happens that programs have memory leaks - they do some repeated operation to allocate memory but forget to free it when done, so memory becomes scarce.

If you have oodles of memory and free disk you may not see any noticable effect, but if your a little tight on resources or have a badly fragmented disk you can have problems.

You didn't say what version of Windows you are running, but in NT and 2K you can use the Task Manager to monitor what is going on with memory usage and get a clue about whether what you think you are seeing is real.

After running PT for a long time so that performance gets sluggish can you stop and restart it and restore performance?
