I upgraded from Peach 7 Complete on Jan 1, 2003. I am now using Peachtree 2003 Complete on Windows 98SE operating system in a network of 4 computers. (I think I stepped into a can of worms with this upgrade) As the 2003 year is winding down I ran an inventory report. The first "Item ID" came up blank line, as did the "Item Description". Than the killer!! "Quantity on Hand" line (for a blank "Item Id") is -86.000. "Last Unit Cost" is 898.480 and "Item Value" is -77,269.28. The second inventory line and and all others are correct. This problem seems to have started on the forth month. I am doing every thing the same (I think). With this large negative number it is impossible to get a proper balance. Our Counter Invoice Sales often may run into the neg-inventory due to lack of time to enter the latest purchase invoices from our vendors. How do I correct this problem? And what did I do wrong. Some of the problems I read about in Peach 2004 do not excite me!! We desire to upgrade our computers to XP in the near future or mix match with our 98SE network computers.
What input could you give me? I am not an Accountant and barely understand accounting.
