Can't Void Checks

I have checks posted and have been printed in an account.
I need to void the checks, but they are not showing up in my void list or outstanding Items report. They have not cleared so I don't know what the problem is. If I post them to another account they show up and can be voided. What is wrong with my account where I can't void these checks??

What is the date of the check?

What account are you posting to? What is that account's "account type"?

Is the outstanding Items list you mentioned the "Other Outstanding Items" report from the Account Reconciliation reports or is it the actual outstanding items listed on the "Account Reconciliation" report?

If the check doesn't appear in the void list, then it is usually due to the cash account id used under Tasks, Payments.
