Have been running ver. 9 as single user. When purchased from Peachtree they said it supported networking, just pay the extra bucks.
Have since started a network with one station but without Peachtree on it. Talked to Peachtree today and they want $500 for us to do the network thing.
My question is, can we purchase a retail package, same version and all, and install it using, I assume, enclosed serial and registration numbers? I asked Peachtree today but thought it best to check somewhere else...
thanks

My suggestion is to purchase a multiuser version and this should work in your network environment.

Thanks

It depends on how many stations you have. For example, if you've 3 stations need Peachtree install, then you need to buy 3 standalone packs with each station running a different serial number and registration number.

There'll be a problem if you install on more than one machine with the same number. Peachtree will detect this! One of our clients try this and suffer!

Another option is to buy a "Value Pack," then you can install as many stations as you like within one local area network. ( Of course beware Peachtree 2002 is for SME only ) The serial number and the registration number will indentify you as a multiuser license. So, one number will do.
