Sortjob.dat read only

I am still using version 5.0. My sortjob.dat file has grown to over 35M. Purging does not help. Now I get the message that this file is read only and I can not post to it. Checking the attributes of the file, I find only the ARCHIVE attribute checked, not the read only attribute. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on and a work around for now. I plan to upgrade the 1st of the year.

Back up your data first, and then delete the sortjob.dat file. Peachtree will rebuild it. It's a file that's supposed to help speed up reports...the sortjob.dat file doesn't exist in current versions of the software.
