I have recently upgraded from PT Complete Accounting 7 to PT Complete Accounting 2002 and am unable to apply finance charges. The upgrade appeared to have completed successfully. All the default customer settings have remained the same as they were in PT 7. I also verified the individual customer settings. They appear to be correct, but when I attempt to apply the finance charges I get a message stating that there are no customers in the specified range. I never had to enter a range of customers in PT 7 and assume this is the same for PT 2002. I did however attempt to put in a range of customers, which I knew to have delinquent balances. I was greeted with the same error. I put in a single delinquent account and again the same message.
Thinking there was possibly some form of data corruption that had occurred during the upgrade process, I created a new company with some fake accounts and account balances. I then changed the accounting period ahead two months and tried to apply finance charges to these accounts. I am still getting the same error message. Has anyone else run into a problem like this? I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a bug in the application. I have looked at Peachtrees knowledgebase and there doesn't seem to be any indication that there might be a bug with the application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
