Computer hangs when switching company

We have a multi-user Complete 2002 version on a peer-to-peer network. The data files are on a Pentium 4 running Win 2000. We have 4 users running Win 98 and 1 user with Win 2000. When one of the users running Win 98 tries to switch companies, her hourglass comes on and stays until Ctrl-Alt-Del is used to terminate Peachtree. She can usually go right back in with no problem. Not a career-ending problem for me if I don't solve it, but I have to hear about it every day.

Peachtree has run across a hang on windows 98 machines in Peachtree with the File/Open menu option. Basically, when you select open from the file menu, the hour glass appears and stays forever. You have to end task and close Peachtree.

It may be involving some other task besides just opening a company over and over.

Unfortunatel, there is not resolution at this time because the problem cannot be reproduced on demand. Peachtree thinks it's related to being on a Compaq computer.

Thanks for the reply ... interesting that Peachtree support thought it was related to Compaq systems. The system here that is having the problem is a Micron MPC 200mhz running Win 98.
