We recently picked up a new client. We copied his company directories to a CD-R and brought it to our office. If we open Peachtree Accounting 7.0 (same as he was using), we can open his data files (2 companies) from the CD-R with no problem. If we copy the directories to our hard drive, we get the "Not a valid Peachtree file. Try Again" message and can't access the account.

Please advise?

Thanks, Jeff

After you copy the company to HDD, have you reset the files attributes from READONLY?

In Windows Explorer, select all the files, then rigth click choose "properties," uncheck "readonly."
