Computer hangs when printing reports

Hi,

I have a client whose Peachtree Accounting 9.0.1 will hang whenever she tries to print or preview any of the reports. Other functions appears to be alright.

She is running Peachtree Accounting on a Windows 2000 system.

Appreciate any help.

Does it appears to all users log on to this station? Or, just appear to this particular user? If just appear to this user, check the user rights.

Is it a network printer? Try to grant full rights for this printer to this particular user.

Thanks for the concern.

Fixed it. But unsure on the cause for the problem.

She was running PAW 9.0.01 on a stand-alone computer.

To fix it:

Uninstal PAW 9 (and reboot)
Delete the C:\Peachw\Reports\ folder
Instal PAW 9 (and reboot)

Deleting the Reports folder means that any customised reports will also be deleted. If there are a number of customised reports then move the old Reports folder to another folder, and using WinZip move the old customised reports back to the new Reports folder, one by one, until the computer hangs again.

Had the same problem with my own customized report hanging Peachtree ver 9. Checked with Peachtree - in their infinite wisdom, they made some changes to some of their stock reports to the basic code of the report. For the particular reports they changed, if your customized report was based on (made from) their stock report, it will not work in ver 9, you have to remake your report. Mine was a customized statement, took six hours to remake. Thanks alot Peachtree!
