Hi all....My husband and his partner have started an engineering and technology staffing firm and have nominated me to keep track of payroll and invoicing. They have purchased Peachtree Premium Accounting 2004.

Does anyone else out there use this for staffing?

Does it aloow for single point of entry for employee hours...producing both paychecks and invoices?

Finally...how difficult would you say the sytem is to learn?

Thanks......

I teach a class using a Peachtree workbook that costs about $50. You can order that from several sources - such as support centers, or peachtree direct. I usually spend about 12 hours using the manual. Your understanding should be good if you can invest that much time. If you are working alone I would get the manual and plan on spending 20-30 hours. You might want to buy phone support or on-line support. We are one of at least 100 centers that offer these type of services and the manuals. (Including Shannon-the moderator I believe)

I use the payroll module, and I have many clients that use it also. The single point for invoices and payroll is time & billing but sometimes people find the amount of data entry through T&B to be difficult. You might also look at timeslips if its all about labor. I can get you a discount on timeslips if it looks attractive.
