I am the network admin for small company.

I have a peer to peer network:
4 new compaqs / Win XP home edition
1 machine has the company data the rest access data from it.

There is no internet connection so the system is isolated.

Everyday about 12:30 - 1:30 pm (so far), Peachtree complete 2004 will lock-up completely. There is nothing in the machines that is scheduled for this time period and it apears to be only Peachtree that is locking up. No problems with any other programs locking up.

Anyone have any ideas?

TIA

Win XP home edition. I would expect problems. Do you know that there is a limit to the number of connections you can have open peer to peer? Do you know what it is? I am not an engineer but I always recommend only 2000 or xp pro. I try to not give advice on making ME or home versions work. I would not be doing you any favors

Is there something transaction intensive going on in your business during that time of day?

Nothing. I have all uneaded programs shut down. This small network is dedicated to Peachtree and isolated from the internet. They play spider solitaire and thats it.

Used to have a problem before of one machine that kept losing the mapped drive and would get an error from peachtree, but that was version 8 and a different machines.

I am using a small Netgear switch that is about 4-5 YO. I might try changing that out. Just to eliminate it.
