I/O Error in file

I’m getting an error message… “ I/O error in file sortjob.dat

The “help” says to run integrity check but then says talk to a peachtree tech person to make sure I run the proper tests in the proper sequences. What should I do?

An I/O error in SORTJOB.DAT means the file will need to be deleted. After deleting it, Peachtree will recreate the file the next time you open the company.
