I am using Complete Accounting 2002 on my XP system which has an Epson LQ-1070+ESC/P2 printer hooked to it.

My checks are Peachtree compatible and are 8.5" (W) x 7.0" (L). I am not able to adjust the printer to recognize the 7" length of my checks. The DIP switches on the printer allows only for 8.5", 11", 11.7" and 12". When I go through the Printer properties, there are many different paper lengths and sizes except for the 7".

Can someone tell me if this printer or the Peachtree software be made to recognize the 7" paper?

Thanks in advance.

You have to create the form on XP by highlighting the driver, then go to file and server properties.

Mr. Sechler:

Your answer sound logical. Can you please elaborate on it? How do I highlight the driver and go to the file and server properties?

Pardon my ignorance.

I had this same issue when I upgrading my computer from 98SE to XP. I found that my Panasonic printer didn't have a manufacturers driver. XP automatically installs it, which that driver did not support 7" either. So, I went on to my old 98SE that did allow me to use 7", and designed the form on the computer and saved it. This would only work though, if you have a Peachtree Win98/95 computer.

Go into printers, click once on the printer icon and then go to File, server properties. Then select to create a new form, give it a name and diminsions and save it. Now go into Peachtree, open the check in design view, select setup, in the size area select the new form and then save.
