I have a client who owns two construction companies. He wants to share the shop inventory between the two. We are going to have one company own the inventory and sell it to the other. Is there a quick and easy way to the transaction between the companies? We could have the potential for a few hundred transactions per week and like to avoid multiple entries in two different companies.
Help!

Can you say "inventory hell"? LOL
You can just do the sale on one side and purchase on the other once a week, but that means keeping meticulous records of what moved every day.
You could carry no inventory in the receiving company. At the end of the week, see what the negative quantities are and then do the transactions.
Whatever you do, it's going to be a royal pain - I guarantee it!!
Good luck!

Thanks a lot, Lisa P
That's what I was afraid of.

I agree with Lisa. In addition, I'd explore having one Peachtree company and use departmentalization to segregate the two entities.
