PTW8.0 Open existing company problem

I have a curious problem with my PTC 8.0 when i open the program then open a existing company this far i´m going well until i want to open another existing company in the same server. The PT then freeze. This not happen when a close the peachtree only when i change of company. I use a server network of 4 workstation (all with windows 98SE) the server with Windows NT4.0. The Peachtree has the lastest patches 8.0.2, also i follow all the procedure the support page of peachtree have indicated. Someone has experience the same problem....I appreciate your help!!

It will be helpful to troubleshoot if you can provide the configuration of your computer. Go to Peachtree's [Help], then select Technical Support Information. Check the ini, autoexec and config.sys and save it as a file.

How many companies exist in your database.... I have seen this take as long as 2 minutes if there are many companies in the list that is being pushed across the network during the change company routine. If you have more than 50 companies in your database you may want to look at: network speed - you will want to be at 100BT, You will wnat your system resources to be readily available as well - make sure the PC's and the server have plenty of available memory...
