When I go to build an assembly and an piece of the assembly is out of stock Peachtree warns me of this which is great. However, the warning shows the first item that is out of stock and not any additional items missing.

For example, item A is made up of items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. We are out of items 2, 3, and 6. When I go to build the assembly I get the warning that we are out of item 2 but it does not mention anything about items 3 and 6.

This is a major hassle as I then have to manually go through each item of the assembly to see if we do or do not have them in stock.

Anyone else experiencing this and/or have a solution?

Thanks for any help.

The 2004 Manufacturing and Distribution versions have an improved Assembly UI that immediately identifies all deficient components before you try to build. All of the 2005 products that allow assemblies will include this improvement as well.

You may want to look at a material scheduling software. This will allow you to view all inventory requirements for all parts, whethery they are finished goods, sub-assemblies or raw materials. This will give you a more consolidated look at all inventory activity instead of just one part at a time.
