This is from Peachtree's web site, hope this helps.

File System Error 100

This error can happen with unusually large sets of data, especially if the company has a lot of inventory activity.

If you encounter this error, then you will need at least 16 MB RAM if you are using Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 in your computer for reasonable performance. If using Windows 98, 32 MB RAM is recommended.

If you are using Peachtree Complete Accounting or Peachtree Complete Accounting Plus Time and Billing Version 6.0 or Peachtree Accounting Version 5.0 you will need to do the following:

Go to Start, Run and at the command line type in BTI.INI, this will bring up the file in Notepad. Find the section [Btrieve Client] look for the "options=" line . Change the following parameters only:

/M:10240

/U:60

/G:1:1

Select File and Save. Close Notepad and restart your computer. Open Peachtree Complete Accounting (Windows version), and open your company. The error should no longer appear.

If you are using Peachtree First Accounting, Peachtree Accounting or Peachtree Complete accounting (Windows Version) 7.0 or higher, you will need to download and execute the registry file rel7reg.reg. This file will increase the memory allocated for Peachtree to use as well as increase other settings. The file can be found by going to http://www.peachtree.com/html/updates_available.cfm. Look for the link for "Peachtree Release 7 Registry Update". Follow the directions on the website to download and execute the file. This file must be executed on each workstation if you are in a multi-user environment.

Please note that it will not hurt to increase the bti.ini settings if you are running a higher version than those listed above. You can also run the registry update on version 8.
