Has anybody else run into this problem?

I ran a data reliability test that found a couple of errors. I pulled up the log and these were the messages I received:

**A [Cash Receipts Journal] transaction dated 09/30/03 with reference 381916 for 228,000.00 refers to a non-existing invoice. The link to this invoice was removed. The <AP/Journal, AR/Journal> data synchronization test was started to further investigate and resolve other transactions that might be impacted by this error. If synchronization errors are found, the invoice is assumed to be correct. We recommend that you review these transactions**

** Sales invoice 102207-11 dated 4/30/04 in the amount of 38,000.00 contains a discrepancy in the amount of receipts appled against it. The AR Invoice Payment data synchronization test was performed to resolve this error.

I have a couple of problems with this. First, there IS an existing invoice and the cash receipt mentioned is applied to that invoice. Second, the cash receipt mentioned is in the prior year which has been closed out, so I cannot adjust the cash receipt. However, the Data Synchronization test adjusted the cash receipt, moving the money from the Apply to Invoices tab to the Apply to Revenues tab. Now the "non-existing" invoice which actually exists still shows up when I enter the customer number in the Receipts form, but the invoice does not show up in my aged receivables.

If anyone has any information on how to correct this problem, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I would click on the data damaged banner above and have your data checked. You will need to send them the backup made prior to running the test.
