Hello.
I intend to use Peachtree Complete 2002 as a front-end only (Sales and Purchases tasks modules) to my dbase database. This means I do the changes in my dbase program and export the dbase files regularly to Peachtree.
Care to comment on this and what problems would I encounter?
Thanks.

Peachtree isn't the best choice for this. ACCPAC PRO would be better because it uses, Dbase tables.
Peachtree is fabulous for what it does, the export and import functions are good, but I suspect you may be going beyond them.

You should be able to use PawCom to accomplish what you want. It includes an MS Access front end that can connect directly to your dbase tables and has the ability to write sales and purchase records to Peachtree. All you need to do is write the appropriate code to translate each record from your layout to one appropriate for Peachtree, then call a function to write the data to Peachtree.

Hi Robert can you send me the URL for downloading Pawcom. Presume you have some literature, too.

You can download a demonstration version of PawCom (fully functional except it only works with the Peachtree sample company Bellwether Garden Supply) at
http://www.multiwareinc.com/pawcom.htm
After installing the demonstration kit you will find the manual in Word format (about 270 pages) in the directory where you installed the kit.
