Hello.
Is there a way or an add-on program to add two extra input fields for an item in the Receive Inventory task (Peachtree Complete 2002)? I need two more fields, batch number and expiry dates for each item I received. The default custom fields for an item will not work. The additional two fields are unique for each supplier's invoice.

You cannot add any additional fields to the Peachtree database. However, you could use PawCom to accomplish what you need. You would have to set up an Access table that is joined to the inventory items and perhaps link the records to the inventory reciepts if needed. From what you have indicated you would probably create a separate record in this table for each item received.

Not disagreeing with Robert that it could be done, but I still think that you are exceeding Peachtree's capacity. What Robert is suggesting means you need an entire new table that will in many ways duplicate the inventory table. Now both have to be maintained. That increases the amount of work.
If you want to go this way you are soon on the way to replacing the Peachtree A/R and Sales order functions with an entirely new program that will be sending data to GL and other moduals. Nothing wrong with this but it can be a lot of work. These little mole hills soon add up to a mountain.
