I recently upgraded to Version 8.0. After closing the fiscal year I tried to purge and nothing (significant) went away. I use Job Costing with job and cost codes but only one phase code since it's the only way to activate cost codes. In frustration I looked in the User guide which states "If a transaction prior to the date refers to a currently active Job ID, Phase ID or Cost Code, the transaction will not be purged". Since I use the same cost codes for all jobs it appears from the above that I will NEVER be able to purge old jobs, even if they are inactive! My hard drive is filling up - any suggestions? Thanks.
