Does anyone know if it is possible to add a barcode to the Sales Order template?
I would like this barcode to contain the Sales Order number to be scanned by the shipping department to bring forward relevent shipping data when processing an order after picking.
Thanks in advance, Steve.

i worked with a program that printed barcodes using a custom font. I would look for that type of program so you can print from peachtree.

Thanks Jim,
I have seen custom barcode fonts.
Could you give me a tip on how to get them to print from a Peachtree template, as far as I can tell they was no way for me to add a field to the template only hide and show functionality.
Ideally I would like to add a line below the existing human readable sales order number that was a barcode of that same number.
Any tips would be of great service.

You can't change the template, you can customize the printed document. When you are ready to print, go into form design rather than printing, or bring it up in the design menu. Your font will have to be loaded, but you can choose it in design.

Hi there sj
Let us know how it works out, I've been thinking of printing barcode images on our invoices to cut down on delivery time.

I've been trying to figure out how to put Postnet Barcodes on my invoices now for a while. Turns out, using a barcode font doesn't help, because the Postnet Barcode ( the one used by the post office), includes a checksum at the end of the zip. Your supposed to add all the digits of the zip together, and the check digit is that number that makes the sum a multiple of 10. That is where the problem is. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to do calculated fields in Peachtree.

You can't. However, if you print using PAWCOM, you could probably do it. PAWCOM uses ACCESS.
