View Full Version : New Employee Payroll Setup
Sorry to sound like such a fool, but I'm relatively new to Peachtree. We just hired a new employee, and when I try to print his first payroll check, I get a gross salary calculation of $37.50 per pay period. I believe I set everything up correctly.
Any advice.

What did you set up on the "pay info" screen for that employee?
I set him up consistantly with others. Hourly rate, maritial status, etc. BTW, we pay bi-weekly. When I try to pay him for 40 hours, it calculates correctly. When I try to pay him for 80 hours, I get the $37.50 Gross Pay. Just found this out playing around a minute or so ago.

Did you set up an hourly, and overtime pay rate? Is this employee set up as hourly 40 hours per week? What rate did you use? Is this 37.50 on the screen or printed?
Yes, I set him up as hourly with both regular and overtime. I don't recall the rate, but it equates to $30K per year. The $37.50 is displayed on the screen, and when printing the chec,
