View Full Version : PCA v13 to Premium Accounting 2005

I am using pre-printed payroll checks for payroll (duh!) and multi-purpose checks for everything else.

Can I use my PCA v13 checks with Premium Accounting 2005, or do I need to buy new checks?

btw, I am using laser printer checks.

Question #2: Do I have to do anything within Premium Accounting 2005 prior to converting my data over from PCA v13 (using the data conversion cd-rom) or can I simply run the conversion utility and it will take care of everything for me (for example, setting up company info, etc)?

Thanks for any help.

You should be able to use the same checks but you may have to move fields a little.

Conversion is not as simple as just running the utility. Payroll needs to be tweaked, as well as account types for chart of accounts need to be changed. I also recommend changing the sales tax authorities because the conversion does not bring them over properly. I really advise the use of a consultant to assist with a DOS to Windows conversion. Should take 8 to 12 hours to convert and train.
