Problem importing Sales and Purchases

I am having trouble importing Sales and Purchases. Some data does come in, but it is not being applied to the Sales Order or Purchase Order. Sometimes I even get an error saying the Item ID on the Sale does not match the Item ID on the Sales Order - but I am using the same .csv file to import into both Sales and Sales Orders, with just a few fields changed. The same thing is happening when I import Purchases - the purchase is imported, but not applied to the Purchase Order.

Item ID, Description, Quantity, and Unit Price are all blank after importing (I had values in my .csv file). Is this the cause, or another symptom? The Items are in the Inventory Items table, because I built a fiel to import them from the Sales .csv file, and it imported successfully.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Hi;

when you import to Peachtree using the import procedure, some fields are required, so if you not put this fields on your CSV file, when you try to import from a csv file will give you an error.

Example:

If you try to import 4 fields but peach needs 5 fields the first field of the second record will be part of the first record and so on.

Seems to me that there's a "apply to sales order" field that you can import to tie them together. You of course would have to import the sales orders first and then the invoices.

Also, if you get errors on the import, double check the field order and format of the fields, and double check that there are no commas in any of the fields.
