View Full Version : Cash Flow Statements - Bizarro problems

Hi, does anyone else get the following bizarro situations in the Cash Flow Statement reports (the standard ones)? I'm using Complete 2005.

1. I'm trying to pull out a cash flow statement from 1/5/2004 to 31/8/2004. The "beginning cash" line item shows a number that's different from the balance sheet of 30/4/2004!

2. Following on from above, when I change the range to be 1/5/2004 to 31/5/2004, then the "beginning cash" line item becomes correct. Change JUST THE ENDING PERIOD, and the "beginning cash" line item changes back to the wrong number of #1! Not at all what I'd studied in my accounting course!

3. Disposals of fixed assets are never reflected in the cash flow statement, so in months when there are disposals, the net change in cash, computed both from net income and from change in actual cash positions, will not tally. Is this intended?

Above issues are no big deal, really, since I can always just export out (which I usually do anyway due to other adjustments for non-standard non-cash items), but I'm just curious what's going on here - whether the problem lies with my data or with the program. Heh.

Thanks in advance!
