I am having an iteresting problem. I use PC r8.0. On a regular basis, I import 4 .csv files into Peachtree. Our configuration is as follows: users have the software loaded locally, the "database" is located on a shared drive on our Novell file server.
When I try to import one of my 4 .csv files (approximately 3000 rows), near the end it locks up and gives the following error: The record you are trying to access is currently in sue. Please try again when it is available. [File: R:\.....CUSTOMER.DAT].
Now, I am the only user at this time. When you hit cancel to this error, I get and I/O error and the application locks. I need to End Task, and reboot before I can get back in.
Through various troubleshooting I have done the following: copied the database to a Windows-only server, opened the file from my client, imported the data from both the client and a Novell server, and it worked. I have reached the conclusion it has something to do with hosting the Peachtree database on the Novell Server.
Any ideas on how to fix this error?
