View Full Version : Dropdown list not showing quantity available

I just installed PPA 2005. Right away I noticed, when entering invoice or sales order, the Item dropdown list does not show the quantities available. I tried all the settings under Global Options, and tried all the demo companies. Did not help. I had PCW 2003 and I did not have the problem.

Help please!

Choose Services, and then Check for Updates. You may be missing a patch for your version of the software.

I have installed the only patch for PPA 2005. It did not help.

The only other thing I can suggest you try is choose Options, Global, click on the General tab, and ensure that "Do not show quantity on hand in inventory item lookup lists" is not selected. You said you'd already checked the options, but it won't hurt to take one more look.

I tried everything, including removing and the reinstalling, still not working. The thing is, I can see the quantity from the dropdown list when doing maintenance tasks. But the field disappeared when doing sale or purchase orders. Wired! Am I the only one with this problem?

However, I later installed onto my laptop. No problems with that installation at all.

Then it is definately a problem with just that one computer. Check the display settings to see if they match from each machine.

You are quite right. I found the problem was due to the display setting, font size. I had the font size set to Large Size (120 dpi). The default dpi setting is 96. After switching back to 96 dpi the problem went away. Thanks for the help.

Just go to Options and then click Global.
Select the General Tab and select Drop Down List Displays Automatically.
Voila!
