PCAW Locks up during imports, postings

I've been having an issue with PCAW 8.0 locking up while importing a price journal and posting standard entries.
I've tried different network cables and a different hub. I've created a new company and restored from the 3 last backups. I've reindexed the company. I've tried importing on 3 different workstations.
I'm currently purging 1999's records, which looks like it's going to take about an hour, then I'm going to try to import again.
Have I overlooked anything?

Have you apply the update patch for Peachtree 8?
Some users experience this because of the network card problem, I think you can try to apply also the registry update for Peachtree 7 which can reset some of the network parameters to an optimal value.

Please let me know if these still not work.
