I get an error message when I change accounting periods: "Unposted entry found in period 0 of last year. Please run the File, Integrity check option and reindex Journal.DAT to correct this problem." I still am able to change accounting periods anyway. Any suggestions? I just started using Peachtree this year so there are no periods for last year. :confused: :confused:

We have been trying to upgrade from 6.0 to 8.0. We must have corrupt data files which are preventing us from completing. Has anyone encountered problems upgrading? solutions? Peachtree support has not been very helpful. I'm shocked that we need to even pay for support to upgrade. We have had software about 7 months and have tried many times with no results. HELP!!
We are operating multi-user (5) on NT-4.
We also have a extremely hard time closing Fiscal year. It is ridiculous that you need to close "waiting on Bill from Vendor" before you can close. After about 6 hours of closing all the ones from Nov. & Dec. Is there any other way Peachtree? I was able to start the close. After 3 1/2 hours Peachtree crashed. I give up!

I wish I could help you but I also feel the frustrations of peachtree tech support. many times i had called their tech support reps had no idea what they were doing. They would advise you to do one thing which in turn just screwed things up more.
I too am amazed and shocked that they have the nerve to charge to help you upgrade their own product.
The one thing I am starting to learn about Peachtree is once you begin to realize it's inefficiencies and deficincies it means it's time you have out grown Peachtree and ready to move on to other business applicaiton software that can handle simple business procedures and structure which in turn will have support that knows more than the end users. I can't begin to tell you all the times I called and knew more than the reps did. I even paid for unlimited tech support so I would call just to run them thru the ringer. I would get 3 differnt answers with 3 different phone calls. No one knows what the heck they are doing there. Peachtree should be assamed of their product and product support.
