We are using 2002 complete.
We have two companies set up.
The data is on a server and we network to it.
We can see company A with no problem.
A user was keying data in company B yesterday and the power went off.
When the power was restored, we could get to company A's info with no problem.
Company B is no longer listed anywhere as a company but its files are still on the server.

I do have the files copied to another directory (after the power outage) so that I can play around at retrieving the info.

I can create a new company and then go to the last restore point, unfortunately it is from 01/15/2004.

So, if I can do that, why can I not re-establish a connection with the original Company B and the data up through yesterday?

We've not need support from Peachtree so we currently have no support contract with them. So, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

You probably need support on this one. Someone may be able to help rebuild your company. Check with Shannon at this forum first. You'll probably find third party support to be more useful than peachtree in this case

Thanks Jim.
The powers that be got a little impatient.
They created a new company and did a restore up to 12/31/2003.
I hope they have fun keying in 10 months worth of data.
I will probably get dragged into it.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe you could still import/export from the other company and save time. Call, write, whatever if you need help, ideas.

Make sure the "powers that be" know that the damaged data may be repairable and that an evaluation of the data can be done for free. If it can be repaired the cost will be small compared to the cost of re-entering 11 months of data correctly.
