What is the best way to transfer a company between computers so I can work at home Christmas week? I keep getting "Unable to determine security privilages" errors so I figure I had better start over with a different method. Other things I have tried: File properties are not set to read-only, I deleting the LCK files from my hard drive, opening from the CD brings up a message saying I am trying to do a task that requires single user access only and to try again when no other users are accessing Peachtree.

You can copy your company folder to a CD or create a backup in Peachtree and copy the backup to the CD.

If you copy the company folder to a CD:
1. Copy the company folder from the CD to your datapath on your computer at home, i.e., c:\peachw
2. Open explorer.
3. Find your company folder on your hard drive and open it.
4. Highlight all the DAT files
5. Right click on one of the highlighted files
6. Choose properties
7. Make sure Archive is checked and not read-only

If you copy the backup to the CD
1. Open pcw and your company on your computer at home
2. Restore your files from the CD (File, Restore)
3. Make sure file properties are Archive as in the steps above
