Does anyone know if Peachtree works well with XP / ME? I have a customer who just bought a new pc with it on there and was wondering how well it is stable on this operating system? So far, I have not got anyone using either one.

Been using WinXP Pro for about 6 weeks with PCA2002.
Only area I had a problem with was printing checks (A/P, PR).
The first time I printed PR and A/P, some lines seem to have moved,so I moved the lines in design and saved it. Printed more checks and the lines seemed to be correct plus amount that I
moved them.
My suggestion is to open any checks under design and save
without making any changes.
By the way, the printer I am using is HP Laserjet 2100.

We've some clients using Peachtree on Win ME, so far we didn't receive any problem report. Of course, the stability of Win XP is much better than Win ME. However, the hardware requirement of XP is also higher.
By the way, I'm also using HP2100.

We've had several clients report Peachtree problems with Win ME and are starting to receive reports of problems with MS Access on XP. My own opinion is that Win 2K is the best choice - it is reasonably modern and seems to be very stable.
I'm using PCA8 and recently installed WinXP Pro. When I launch PCA, it tells me I'm running Win2K but I don't have administrator privileges so the program exits. I have admin privileges in WinXP Pro. Help!

Are you in a network environment? Where you put your data?
Thanks for posting a message. It seems the problem I have is that I'm running PeachTree version 8.0 (and have not upgraded to 2002) and have just installed this weekend the new Windows XP. Is there anyone running XP with PTA 8.0? All the messages posted seem to have PTA2100 or 2002. Am I going to have to upgrade to PTA 2002? I have PTA 8.0 installed on one computer only and everything is installed on my C drive/programs/peach tree. Let me know if you have any thoughts on why I'm getting that error message. I am currently unable to access Peachtree at all and need to do all my December entries and all year end 1099 info, etc. HELP!
